About Asanga Yoga

Asanga Yoga is a traditional yoga philosophy school, which follows the four main paths of yoga. Its teachings are based on the original ancient texts of Vedanta, Upanishads, Sage Patanjali‘s Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures.

Asanga Yoga embraces both inner and outer realities. It guides the seeker on a journey to rediscover harmony within and ascend a higher level of consciousness.

Asanga Yoga imparts theory and practices to improve strength and flexibility through Ashtanga Vinyasa flow, purify the body through detox methods, connect to the universe through Ayurveda, activate the infinite Pranic energy and balance Chakras through Kundalini yoga, control and utilize the mind through Pranayama and Meditation, unfold the Self-knowledge through Advaita Vedanta, and other authentic practices to bring out human potential.

We believe, if the ancient knowledge is not applicable to our daily challenges it will be of no use. Hence Original Ancient Sanskrit texts have been studied, understood, assimilated and applied to modern context.

What is Asanga

Asanga literally means “non-attachment“. Non-attachment to external as well as internal undesirable factors which make one bound and dependent.

Yoga means “union“. Union of oneself and one’s true nature, which is Joy, Love and Peace, according to Yoga Philosophy and Advaita Vedanta. Asanga yoga precisely aims at taking us there. It follows the Ancient and Traditional Yoga theory and practices.

Asanga Yoga is a mindful journey of removing all wrong identifications, habitual patterns, concepts and belief systems and joining one to one’s true nature.

This leads one to experience freedom from all limitations and brings about the most profound sense of care, sharing, compassion, and freedom. Asanga emphasizes on intensity and passion in all experiences and thus brings quality into life.

UN speaker, expert on spirituality

When I met Viktoria in India, as an aspirant of Yoga, I found her to be a multi faceted personality. Aeronautical engineer and master of economics, having many additional educational qualifications, with love for mountains, horse riding and extremely eager to learn. This intense urge of self-enquiry has taken her to Sivananda ashram, Ramana Maharshi ashram, Auroville, Mysore and other spiritual places and teachers in India. She has completed different courses in traditional and international schools.

I am happy to teach her original Philosophy scriptures in Sanskrit, Advaita Vedanta, Bhagavad Gita, Kundalini and Tantra Yoga, Chakra system and many other related matters and practices. Sincerity and intensity, which she exhibited during learning process, are worth emulating by any student. Backed up by her strong practice of Yoga Asanas, Pranayamas, Meditation, Yogic Cleansing Techniques, Chanting as well as certain spiritual experiences, she is well equipped now to share this to one and all. Her uniqueness is in drawing students out of a place of fear into a space of energy, joy, and peace. Her desire to learn while teaching is worth mentioning here. She is intensely passionate that everyone should experience unconditional love within.
